COAL: Romney v. Obama

Pennsylvania has been and will continue to be crushed by Obama's policies. Obama's reelection would be a disaster.

Mitt Romney offers the hope and change Americans really want, not Obama's warped vision.

This ad spells it out:

Four years ago, Barack Obama said building a coal-powered plant will bankrupt you. Now, 22 Pennsylvania coal facilities will close or convert. Mitt Romney will support coal and get North America energy independent.

Google "Salem Harbor Power Station." Doesn't it bother you in the slightest that Romney's position on issue after issue seems to be whatever is politically expedient at the moment?

And by the way, coal jobs and exports are up, and although it took a dip the first year of Obama's term, coal production has increased each year after. I disagree with this strategy, but I'd expect you to cheer it, or at least not lie about it.

Here are just a few of Obama's flip-flops:

■Voted against increasing the debt limit; then supported raising it.

■Campaigned against the Bush tax cuts; then extended all of them.

■Promised to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term; then proposed trillion dollar deficits.

■Vowed the unemployment rate would be below 8% if his stimulus was passed; but then it broke 10%.

■Promised shovel ready jobs; then admitted they weren’t shovel ready.

■Said if you like your health plan you can keep it; but then threw seniors off Medicare Plus and employers are now saying they’ll dump people onto the public exchange.

■Promised to have health care negotiations on live TV, but then reversed himself.

■Indicated Bush violated the Constitution; then carried out warrantless wiretaps, indefinite detentions, secret renditions, quadrupled drone attacks, and kept Guantanamo Bay open. Voted against the Patriot Act, but then supported its extension.

■Said lobbyists wouldn’t work in the White House; then gave them waivers to work there.

■Vowed to take public financing for his 2008 campaign; then refused public financing when he realized he would receive more money without it.

Regarding coal jobs and exports, it seems odd that you would cite that (though not really since you do dutifully regurgitate the Left's talking points).

Obama wants to bankrupt the coal industry. Apparently, he hasn't been too successful at delivering on that promise.

Changes in attitude RE: debt limit, extending tax cuts, deficit difficulties do not bother me in the slightest because different economic situation require different approaches, an idea T-partiers just cannot seem to wrap their heads around.

Unemployment and shovel ready jobs were victims of (R) demands.

Patriot Act stuff, lobbyist insiders, you bet I'm disappointed, just as I am about his reliance on coal -- at least he stresses cleaner tech. How you get the idea he wants to "bankrupt" them is beyond me. Then again, weren't you one of those that was SURE that our guns would be gone by now?

I answered yours, how about mine now?

Obama has "changes in attitude" but Romney flip flops.

Give me a break. Listen to yourself.

And listen to Obama. Obama SAYS building a coal power plant will bankrupt them. If HIS words are beyond you, there's nothing I can say that will help you understand.

And no, there is no way I was "one of those that was SURE that our guns would be gone by now." You've got the wrong person.

You still haven't addressed my question. Do Romney's "changes in attitude" concern you?

No. Not at all. What seriously concerns me is the prospect of an Obama second term.
