In December 2008, Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi threw his shoes at President George W. Bush during a news conference in Iraq. President Bush was on his final visit to the country as president of the United States.
Here's video:
Though President Bush handled the situation with great poise, American Leftists and others loved mocking our president about the incident.
Remember "Sock and Awe"?
AP even called a monument to the attacker a "work of art."
Hahaha!
"The shoe-hurling last month at Bush spawned a flood of Web quips, political satire and street rallies across the Arab world. Now, it's inspired a work of art."
Yeah, that was hilarious!
Now that a woman in Las Vegas has hurled a shoe at Hillary Clinton, will the Leftists take similar enjoyment in that incident?
Here's video:
Unlike the haters who laughed and relished the shoe-hurling at President Bush, I take no pleasure in seeing someone throw a shoe at Hillary. That's not freedom of expression.
It's dangerous, inappropriate behavior.
Thankfully, Hillary wasn't hurt.
