Arguments (eg @FrankLuntz) that another GOP nominee would've trounced Hillary ignore Dems' / media's ability 2 turn any Repub into a monster https://t.co/gHFLtzB9lb

The Republican nominee is routinely vilified by the Democrats. No one is spared. They trashed John McCain. They trashed Mitt Romney. Naturally, they are trashing Trump.
That's the way the Democrats play. Let's not pretend the Dems' attacks are an outgrowth of Trump winning the nomination, because they're not. ANY Republican nominee would have been depicted as evil incarnate, an ally of the KKK, etc.
The difference this time is so many Republicans are gleefully jumping on board with the Dems' and embracing their politics of personal destruction, trying to destroy their own party's nominee.
Some Republicans will cast their ballots for Hillary.
Others will do something like vote for Evan McMullin or do a lame write-in or not vote for president at all, protesting Trump.
They should just vote for Hillary because that's the result of what they're doing anyway.
There is no other way to look at. A vote for anyone other than the Republican nominee is a vote for Hillary.
