Andy Byron should not have muddied his apology with a swipe at Coldplay. I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent. I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else's life into a spectacle.No, that doesn't fly. Tickets to concerts and sporting events usually include a disclaimer stating you grant organizers permission to use your image. Byron likely did give his consent. Bottom line: If Byron and his HR director Kristin Cabot wanted to keep their relationship private, they used terrible judgement when they chose to act that way in public.
