Daschle Withdraws Nomination, Obama Fails

We know that Tom Daschle is a tax cheat. He's a crook.

He's withdrawn his nomination.

Good.

I wonder if Barack Obama regrets his staunch support of tax cheat Daschle.

Obama's judgment has been tested. He failed.

  1. The current economic and financial crises and bear market have brought to light the cruel reality that our society is infected by corruption and that those in power somehow have difficulties trying to call it for what it is when confronted with it. Simply put, government officials, including Mr.Obama, are too concerned with keeping the system going. A system corrupted by greed and abuse of power at all levels of our government and society. Law abiding citizens are being lied to by government that is running out of control. Corrupted politicians are treated as if they were untouchables.
The message being sent to the working class is quite clear. If you can get away with corruption, "do it". The big shots in government are doing it and they get away with it by simply saying "I am deeply sorry". We do not realize the long term consequences that these types of behaviors will have in our society.

  2. THere is no question that United Healthcare would have been the nation's national health carrier after that crook Daschle sold out to them as their lobbyist. Too bad United Healthcare. A side note, any bias from Yahoo news towards Obama? Nooo, of course not..ha

  3. There is never going to be a perfect candidate. When you're dealing with 100's of thousands of your personal money, of course you're going to find a way to keep it for yourself. I also believe Daschle's a go-getter with his experience in dealing with the House and Senate. He's was the perfect man for the job, he just got caught with a mark on his permanent record. Jeez, we'd almost forget that we voted for a president who took drugs at one point in his life and he might be turning out alright...
