Here's audio that indicates Sgt. James Crowley seemed to be acting calmly and professionally when he was responding to the reported break-in at Henry Louis Gates' house.

Referring to Gates, Crowley states, "The gentlemen says he resides here." Crowley notes that Gates is being "rather uncooperative."

Crowley certainly doesn't sound like someone wearing a KKK hood.

I think it's interesting that since Obama disparaged Crowley and this blew up into a national controversy, nothing has surfaced that would paint Crowley as a racist person, on or off the job.

Racially charged, incendiary statements made by Gates have surfaced.
