Struggling with Hunger: 1 in 8 Americans

According to Obama and Feeding America, formerly called America's Second Harvest, 1 in 8 Americans are struggling with hunger.

Here's a PSA that I've seen again and again. It stars Obama.



I donate to food banks and I encourage others to do the same. Volunteering one's time to assist the needy is noble work.

But whenever I see that commercial about 1 in 8 Americans being hungry, I think about how many Americans PAY for cable or satellite TV.
