Scott Brown and 'Available' Daughters

Scott Brown was clearly in a celebratory, jovial mood when he delivered his acceptance speech after winning the special election to fill the Senate seat that was held by the late Ted Kennedy.

He stuck to his prepared remarks for the most part. However, when he thanked his two daughters, Arianna and Ayla, Brown strayed a bit.

This is likely to get some attention since it's not often that an election night victory speech morphs into The Dating Game.

Video.

SCOTT BROWN: And as always, I rely on Gail's love and support and that of our two lovely daughters. So I want to thank Gail and Arianna for their help as well.

And just in case, anybody who's watching throughout the country, yes, they're both available.

No, no, no. No, only kidding, only kidding. Only kidding, only kidding. Arianna's definitely not available, but Ayla is. This is Arianna. This is Ayla. I can see I'm gonna get in trouble when I get home.

Embarrassing?

Not really.

It was a lighthearted moment.

  1. His remark was absolutely inappropriate, clueless, sexist and creepy. And his wife's reaction of laughing was unfortunate too. It wasn't funny. It wasn't "lighthearted." Let's listen to Pres Obama who said politician's "children are off-limits." That goes for the press and that ESPECIALLY goes for the parents!

  2. Good grief.

    Lighten up. He was kidding.

You do know that Brown's daughters are adults, don't you?

What do you mean that the children are off limits from their parents?

    That's a little weird.

I assume you believe that the press and the Leftists should leave Sarah Palin's kids alone, right?

    Right, "Jane Sands"?

  3. Get a life - he's a parent having a real person moment. It's refreshing to see this since we've had the Arrogant Big O in office.

  4. The dripping hypocrisy of the left continues to delight and amaze.
