On Saturday Night Live this weekend, a few of the sketches were mercifully apolitical.
A sketch about sectionals sofas is funny based on the odd factor alone.
With host Louis C.K. portraying a man very passionate about sectionals in what appears to be a commercial or some sort of promotional spot, Aidy Bryant is featured as a woman named Barb from Racine, Wisconsin. She went to a couch store and demanded, "Bigger." Eventually, she was shown a sectional sofa large enough to satisfy her.
Why Racine?
The odd sketch ends with graphics giving the address of the Sectional Sofa Emporium but with a note that it's not open to the public and it is not a business.
At least politics didn't rear its head in this one, unless the sectional was supposed to be a metaphor for Trump.
