Durham County Courthouse - Confederate Statue

More violence and lawlessness and chants against President Trump.

This time, thugs destroyed public property in Durham, North Carolina, pulling down a confederate monument:



When I think of statues being toppled, I think of Saddam Hussein. U.S. Marines helped Iraqis remove that one.



I think of images of ISIS destroying ancient religious artifacts.



I think of the Taliban's destruction of the Buddhas of Bamiyan valley in Afghanistan.



And of course, I think of the statues of Lenin being ripped down.



Since statues have been erected, statues have been toppled. That's the way things go.

However, what happened in Durham was wrong. Mobs can't be allowed to destroy property.

The racism and deadly violence in Charlottesville is unacceptable but there is a better way to remove these monuments #durham - RC
