From TIME:
March 14, 2018: National School Walkout
The Women’s March’s Youth EMPOWER group is planning a national school walkout on March 14, 2018, according to the group’s website. At 10 a.m. in every time zone, organizers are encouraging teachers, students, administrators, parents and allies to walk out for 17 minutes — one for every person killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Enough is enough!

In many cases, this walkout is a school-sanctioned event. It's not a protest. It's not even a student-generated movement.
A protest that's orchestrated by staff and faculty isn't much of a student protest.
Want to really protest? Want to do something that really challenges the school's tolerance of free speech?
Stand up and PRAY in class, PRAY for those killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, Florida.
Of course, disrupting class in such a manner isn't acceptable behavior. It's against the rules. A student would likely be punished for that disruption. Yes, that would be a protest. Civil disobedience.
Such a protest is not bankrolled by millions of dollars. It wouldn't be propped up by media and celebrities.
The National School Walkout is an exercise in conformity. The students aren't exercising their personal power in any way. They aren't challenging authority. They're simply doing what the faculty and district and a network of Leftist media and celebrities endorse.
It's not a protest. This is about trashing Republicans and gun owners. It's a political stunt meant to serve Democrats and the Leftist agenda. Let's be very clear about that.
