SNL: Patti Smith - 44 Years Ago

Forty-four years ago today, Easter weekend, Patti Smith appeared on Saturday Night Live, performing "Gloria" and "My Generation."

It was the show's first season and Ron Nessen, White House press secretary for President Gerald Ford, was the host.
