Grinch Evers: No Capitol 'Holiday' Tree

Tony Evers continues his effort to strip Wisconsin of Christmas cheer.

Last year, Evers declared that the tree in the Capitol rotunda was a "holiday" tree, not a Christmas tree.

From WISCTV:

Gov. Tony Evers has gone back to calling the state Capitol Christmas tree a holiday tree, reigniting an old fight over what to call the evergreen.

...Evers called the tree a holiday tree Friday. He announced that the tree's theme will be "Celebrate Science" and asked schoolchildren to submit science-related ornaments for the tree.
In 2019, Evers decided the tree would "Celebrate Science."

In 2020, Grinch Evers demanded there would be tree at all.

From Empower Wisconsin:
Gov. Tony Evers recently announced there will be no “holiday tree” in the State Capitol rotunda this year. Why? You guessed it … COVID-19.

...Gov. Scrooge sent teachers a letter saying he would not accept student-made ornaments this year because there will be no tree.

...The governor has asked students to send their ornaments to hospitals, nursing homes and veterans homes. He’s calling for a theme of “hope,” as he preaches fear in canceling Thanksgiving and Christmas.
This is idiotic. Evers is exploiting the coronavirus as an opportunity to purge a symbol of faith from the Capitol.

For Democrats/Leftists like Evers, COVID-19 is the gift that keeps on giving.
