I'm against irreversible surgery and sterilizing drugs for children under 18.

I fully support treatment for suffering, confused children but not steps that include permanent bodily function alteration and surgical mutilation.

The drinking age is 21. If one is considered too young to responsibly drink, one shouldn't be permitted to decide to lop off one's body parts and take drugs that can result in permanent sterilization.

The drastic nature of gender "treatment" must be considered in this discussion.

Children need time to truly comprehend the ramifications of taking steps to appear to be the other gender than their chromosomes determined. They need to understand some choices cannot be undone.

Protect the CHILDREN from a possible lifetime of pain and regret.
