Ron DeSantis - Debate Smile

DeSantis obviously has advisors telling him to adopt a personality that isn’t natural for him. The awkward fake smiling is part of that. He needs to fire those idiots, whoever they are, and just be himself. He should have opened the debate last night by saying this:

Last night, I listened to the entire debate but only watched some of it.

As a result, my reaction to what was said wasn't really impacted by the appearance of the candidates.

Obviously, appearance and body language do matter. The Nixon-Kennedy debate is an example.

Today, so many people keep talking about DeSantis and his manufactured smile and awkwardness.

I didn't see it. I didn't focus on how he looked. He didn't sound awkward or fake.

In terms of appearance, one thing that was striking about the male candidates was their choice of ties.

They all looked very Trump-like.
