In The Northwest: Teresa Heinz Kerry hasn't lost her outspoken way
What made Teresa Heinz Kerry so refreshing to some voters, and threatening to others on the 2004 campaign trail, is summed up when THK talks about her speech to last year's Democratic convention:
"Nobody told me what to do," she told a Saturday fund-raiser here.
The implicit afterword: Nobody better try.

Refreshing? Not to me. Threatening? Not in the least.
From the time it became clear that Teresa might be First Lady, she came under a great deal of scrutiny. It was always typical of the Dems to claim people didn't like Teresa because they felt threatened by a strong woman. Maybe some did feel that way. I didn't. I consider myself a strong woman, not afraid to say what I think or voice opinions that counter the majority.
It wasn't this supposed "strength" of hers that I reacted to in a negative fashion. It was her uninformed statements, her lashing out, her arrogance that rubbed me the wrong way.
"Think about last year," she said. "Once John had his nomination, the Republicans spent $90 million to destroy his reputation."
Uh, Teresa...Sounds like you're confusing unfounded attacks with exposing the truth.
"Shove it."

The only people missing Teresa is the late night comedians
I'm sure Kerry doesn't mind when Teresa is off at one of the other mansions.
