For the love of God, what was Michael Schiavo doing on Larry King Live tonight?
He chose to begin his wife's starvation this afternoon, and tonight he finds time to be interviewed by Larry King.
Schiavo: Terri is my life. I'm going to carry out her wishes to the very end. This is what she wanted. It's not about the Schindlers, it's not about me, not about Congress, it's about Terri.
Now, I want you all to think about going through a judicial process to have your wishes granted and then the Congress and the government walking in on that because of their personal views. That's absurd!
Governor Bush, he's only doing this for votes. And I urge everybody out there, call your Congress, call your House legislators, call your House representatives in Washington and tell them to stay out of our personal business. They're going to be running everybody's life.
Michael Schiavo goes on television to plead his case, instead of being at his dying wife's side. I wonder how much he's had to eat and drink since Terri's feeding tube was removed?
What does he expect to achieve? Sympathy? Damage control? Another opportunity to bash Governor Bush?
He's trying to make himself out to be a victim of the evil government. Jeb Bush and Congress are getting into his personal business. He warns that the government will be running everyone's life.
Well, I want the government to intervene when a disabled woman is about to undergo a slow-motion execution.
Yes, courts have ruled in the husband's favor, agreeing that Terri made her wishes known. It's not the first time courts have made unreasonable decisions.
Since Terri left no instructions documenting her wishes, the court must error on the side of life.
While the legislative branch squabbles, Terri is becoming more dehydrated.
President Bush made a statement in support of Terri, but that's it. He's done no other intervention.
The U.S. Supreme Court refused to get involved.
Terri deserves protection from Michael Schiavo and Judge Greer.
Does Woodside Hospice make it a habit of torturing its patients?
George Felos, Michael Schiavo's attorney, called the subpoenas issued by the Congressional committee "nothing short of thuggery" at a news conference.
"It was odious, it was shocking, it was disgusting and I think all Americans should be very alarmed about that," George Felos said.
THUGGERY???
Attempting to prevent death by starvation is thuggery?
It is truly mind-boggling. I've called my senators and representative. I've written letters. There's nothing left for me to do but pray.
I'm praying that will be enough.
