Simply Put

From GOP.com:

Under the Constitution, the Senate is obligated to vote on the President's nominees, but Democratic leaders are rejecting their Constitutional duty and threatening to shut down the Senate if we grant these qualified nominees an up-or-down vote. For over 200 years, a majority vote is all that has been required to confirm judicial nominations.

Now the Democrats are changing the rules and preventing the majority from confirming these nominees. The Senate majority should not be forced to choose between fulfilling their Constitutional obligation and conducting the people's business.

I say let the Dems filibuster and shutdown the Senate. Then let's see how they are viewed by the people in the 2006 elections

It will be the end of the Democratic Party

The Dems see the writing on the wall. That's why they are so desperate.
