Arianna Huffington's new group blog website was launched today.
Imagine the online version of Air America, but worse.
Add the "brilliance" of Walter Cronkite and Larry David.
Pepper the site with some odd little blurbs, like "American Gridlock Getting Worse" and "Dog 'Adopts' Abandoned Baby in Rural Kenya."
Arianna contributes, "What Would Jesus Do... With Tom DeLay?"
She writes: If DeLay and his pious pals had been around for the Sermon on the Mount, perhaps the most famous line about humility ever spoken would have been given a rewrite:
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth… unless the pushy hire Jack Abramoff at 750 shekels an hour; then the meek (and the Indians) are screwed."
Luckily, Jesus was able to stick to the original script.
Huh?
I thought it might be kind of fun to read the left's attempt to take on the Drudge Report. I thought it might be entertaining to read the inane ramblings of the liberal glitterati.
I was dead wrong.
