Closed Down or Cleaned Up

Haven't had your fill of Bill lately?

The following is part of a
transcript of an interview conducted by Lionel Barber and Paul Taylor of the Financial Times on June 17 with former US president Bill Clinton at his home in Chappaqua, New York.

Although Clinton is incredibly long-winded throughout the interview, the comments that will no doubt receive attention are his thoughts on Gitmo.

FT: "Obviously, if this is a success, it would do wonders for America's image around the world: Do you think, Mr. President, that it's time that we close Gitmo?"

BC: "Well it either needs to be closed down or cleaned up. It's time that there are no more stories coming out of there about people being abused.

That's the short answer. Clinton's full response is a lengthy rambling mess, reminiscent of his presidency.
