FREEDOM CENTER ON HOLD

At 9/11 Memorials.org, Roger writes about the latest on the controversial Freedom Center.

For the time being, it has been put on the backburner.

This appears to be a victory of sorts for those opposing its presence at Ground Zero. However, it could be a temporary thing and just part of a maneuver aimed at removing dissenting voices from the WTC Memorial Foundation.

The board adopted a "code of conduct" that could be manipulated to silence opposition and to force dissenting members off.

I don't know why this whole thing is even an issue. It makes absolutely no sense to me for Ground Zero to be used as a memorial to anything other than the victims of 9/11.

Some are politically motivated to morph the "NEVER FORGET" attitude most Americans felt immediately following the attacks into a denial of their reality.

The 9/11 Memorial should be a 9/11 Memorial. Case closed.
