A few minutes ago on the NBC Nightly News, John Siegenthaler introduced a story about Plamegate or Nadagate or whatever you want to call it.
Again, it was more of the same speculation that has clogged the media the past couple of weeks.
One thing Siegenthaler said jumped out at me.
He said something to the effect that Bush was bracing for possibly the worst week of his presidency.
WHAT???
I don't care how many indictments Fitzgerald might hand out in the coming days, how could this week be worse than the week of September 11, 2001?
These liberal media outlets exist in a warped alternative universe.
These libs that twist stories to fit their agenda either have serious short-term memory problems or they have such massive inflated egos that they casually disregard one of the worst times in our history because it gets in the way of their politics.
There is NOTHING that could come out of Fitzgerald's investigation, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, that would be worse than what President Bush dealt with after the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America.
It was a stupid thing for Siegenthaler to say. Idiotic. Same old, same old.

I guarantee Bush doesn't win re-election!!!!
-------------
This is pretty normal for a second term president.
Look back at Clinton, Reagan, Nixon, etc.........All had a terrible time in their second term.
Ike did Ok, but Truman got hammered.
FDR had a war to fight, Wilson had a stroke, and TR took his lumps.

I admit I'm concerned about the funk Bush is in, but I would rather he be in this funk than John Kerry enjoying his first year.
I remain optimistic. There are things that frustrate me about President Bush, but I think he may still go down as one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever seen. Let's see what happens in the next 3 years, and then what his legacy will be in the coming decades. If nothing else, his greatest accomplishment was in preventing Al Gore from becoming our President.
