UPDATE: Battlefield South Dakota

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- Gov. Mike Rounds on Monday signed legislation banning almost all abortions in South Dakota.

The Legislature passed the ban late last month, focusing nationwide interest on the state as the governor decided what to do about the measure.

I think the pro-abortion contingent needs to step up work on that "Abortion for Dummies" pamphlet.

Let's hope this is the "beginning of the end" for Roe V. Wade.

Abortion will never be illegal across the board in this country.

If Roe v. Wade is someday overturned, that would return the responsibility to states to determine their own laws on abortion.

I can't imagine a time when abortion will be completely outlawed.
