BOO

Vice President Dick Cheney was booed when he threw out the first pitch for the Washington Nationals home opener.

So what? Is it news that baseball fans can behave boorishly?

The incident prompted libs at thinkprogress.org to leave some very revealing comments -- equally boorish.

Some examples:

Why couldn’t someone throw a hotdog at him or something?

He would have been right on target if Harry was the catcher.

I doubt Cheney cares - but it was encouraging to know that he was loudly booed.
That should be the least of his criticisms. Being marched out of the White House to the Capitol where he would be placed in wooden stocks and pelted with rotten fruit by citizens, before being taken to court and tried for “high crimes and misdemeanors, being found guilty and having to spend the rest of his days with a cell mate named “Bubba,” would be a far more suitable criticism.

The only baseball play I’d like to see Cheney pull off is a suicide squeeze.

Yes, those liberals are so enlightened and compassionate and sophisticated, and obviously intellectually superior to conservatives.

Right.

Update: The Associated Press weighs in on the earth-shattering news that some people booed the Vice President.

Greeted by a loud chorus of boos along with some cheers, Vice President Dick Cheney threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Washington Nationals' Major League Baseball home opener on Tuesday.

...The vice president paid a visit to the Mets and Nationals clubhouses before the game, which the Mets won 7-1. Mets' third baseman David Wright said after the game he was thrilled to meet Cheney and shrugged off the booing. "When you've got 50 percent of America that's Republican, 50 percent that's Democrat, you're probably going to get mixed reviews," Wright said.

Where are the comments from the booing fans, the "Cheney is Satan" bloc?

Why wouldn't the AP cite someone critical of the Vice President? That's so uncharacteristic.

AP, really dropped the ball on this one.

I've been pretty busy lately and I haven't had a lot of time to visit blogs. I just wanted you to know I still pop in and read when I get a chance.

Neither was John Kerry pitching from the mound; and if I remember, he was roundly booed as well. Forgot where.

Oh well...no big deal. Just more misguided citizens without class.

Thanks, Mark.

Remember when Hillary got booed off the stage at the Concert for New York City?

Politicians get booed. So what else is new?
