McKinney: Violent and Corrupt

What we know:

We know that Cynthia McKinney has a propensity for acting out in a physically violent manner toward law enforcement officials.

We know McKinney shows no respect for the Capitol's security rules.

Now we know that she has no respect for congressional ethics rules.

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Cynthia McKinney admits that she broke government rules by spending money to fly a celebrity to Atlanta.

Channel 2 Action News has uncovered documents showing McKinney, D-Ga., spent about $1,000 of taxpayer's money to fly singer Isaac Hayes to Georgia to help dedicate a new office in Atlanta.

The money came from a fund members of Congress are supposed to use for office supplies.

Using the money to pay for Hayes' airline ticket and hotel expenses is a violation of strict congressional rules.

...McKinney staffers say they will reimburse the congressional fund for the cost of Hayes' flight and hotel room.

I wonder what McKinney's explanation for misusing taxpayer dollars will be.

What will be her defense for this one?

Will she say that racial profiling prompted her to break congressional rules?

Will she say other members of Congress do the same thing all the time, but she's being targeted because she's a black woman?

Maybe she felt she was justified in violating congressional rules and using taxpayer funds for Isaac Hayes' trip.

After all, McKinney is black and she is a woman.

Who knows what her excuse will be this time?

I just hope that taxpayers didn't get stuck with the travel expense bill for Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte to appear at McKinney's news conference/rally last Friday.

    I don't know.

Punch a Capitol Police officer in the chest and then call Danny Glover?

    Rick,

I don't like to censor and remove comments. BUT, what you wrote comes close to qualifying as being worthy of pulling.

I think McKinney should be ashamed for playing the race card and deserves to be condemned for it.

However, all the name-calling and remarks like "A waste of good black flesh" are also wrong, in my view.

When I read that sort of stuff, I wonder if the person is being sincere.

Is it a lib playing games on a conservative blog?

Is it someone that really holds such hate?

Is it a kid that doesn't care about the issue but likes messing around on the Internet?

    Who knows?

Whatever, I think an effort should be made to maintain some civility.

I'm for free speech. You gave your opinion and that's your right.

So, your comment stays for others to judge.
