According to the Drudge Report, the Hu Heckler remains in custody. She has been charged with disorderly conduct and intimidating a foreign official.
Reuters reports:
"President Hu, your days are numbered. President Bush, make him stop persecuting Falun Gong," the woman yelled. US officials later identified her as Wang Wenyi, 47, a reporter with The Epoch Times, an English-language publication strongly supportive of the meditation movement that is banned in China.
The Secret Service was interviewing the woman and a source said she would be charged with disorderly conduct.
Outside the White House, hundreds of yellow-clad Falun Gong disciples, Taiwanese nationalists, and Tibetan youth group members demonstrated against Hu and his government.
Why is it that officials have dragged their feet on charging Cynthia McKinney with assaulting a Capitol Hill police officer, but it appears that Wenyi Wang will be quickly slapped with charges?
Is justice blind?
Are people in power above the law?

Note: Reuters continues to call the protester Wang Wenyi.
The Associated Press is calling the woman Wenyi Wang.
Bangkok Post.com has identified the woman as Wang Wang Yi.
Take your pick, I guess.

At *most*, Wang should be charged a token one-dollar fine, with a weeks' worth of "keep your nose clean" time.
Either that, or put her on the payroll as Tony Snow's assistant press secretary.
LOL
I do wish that Time and Newsweek, etc., would do cover stories on the atrocities and basic human rights violations in China.
That won't happen.
They're too busy rehashing Abu Ghraib and inventing Gitmo stories.
