Evil Regime

Supposedly, Iran wants peace. But that peace doesn't include Israel, a "regime based on evil."

Iran's intentions are clear -- become a nuclear power and destroy Israel. There is no disputing that.

JAKARTA, Indonesia-- Iran's president on Thursday intensified his attacks against Israel, calling it a "regime based on evil," but also said he was ready to negotiate with the United States and its allies over his country's nuclear program.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has previously said Israel should be wiped off the map, also told a cheering crowd of students in Indonesia's capital that the Jewish state "cannot continue and one day will vanish."

Students held up posters saying "Iran in our Hearts," and "Nuclear for Peace."

Students cheering Ahmadinejad's prediction of the elimination of a nation is sick.

"Nuclear for Peace" and "Iran in our Hearts" posters add to the twisted display.

As he embarks on his travels and addresses the adoring throngs, Ahmadinejad shows no signs of letting up on threatening Israel and taunting the U.S. and its allies.

He says that he's open to talks at the same time that he rattles the sabers.

He's enjoying toying with the Western powers. He doesn't want to negotiate. Same old, same old.

He talks so tough, but I predict that Ahmadinejad's regime will vanish long before the state of Israel.
