Herb Kohl: Pro-Abortion

Do you think Herb Kohl is a moderate?

You do?

Do you think that Kohl is very moderate compared to the fringe far Leftist Russ Feingold?

You do?

Consider this:

In 2005,
NARAL gave Kohl a "Pro-Choice" Score of 75 for his pro-abortion votes in the Senate.

In 2005, Feingold received the exact same score as Kohl did -- 75.

Remember, Feingold is so extreme regarding abortion issues that he argued in favor of what can only be deemed to be infanticide.

On September 26, 1996, during debate on partial birth abortion, Feingold and Rick Santorum had an enlightening exchange.

Transcript

Sen. Santorum: Will the Senator from Wisconsin yield for a question?

Sen. Feingold: I will.

Sen. Santorum: The Senator from Wisconsin says that this decision should be left up to the mother and the doctor, as if there is absolutely no limit that could be placed on what decision that they make with respect to that. And the Senator from California [Sen. Barbara Boxer] is going up to advise you of what my question is going to be, and I will ask it anyway. And my question is this: that if that baby were delivered breech style and everything was delivered except for the head, and for some reason that that baby's head would slip out -- that the baby was completely delivered -- would it then still be up to the doctor and the mother to decide whether to kill that baby?

Sen. Feingold: I would simply answer your question by saying under the Boxer amendment, the standard of saying it has to be a determination, by a doctor, of health of the mother, is a sufficient standard that would apply to that situation. And that would be an adequate standard.

Sen. Santorum: That doesn't answer the question. Let's assume that this procedure is being performed for the reason that you've stated, and the head is accidentally delivered. Would you allow the doctor to kill the baby?

Sen. Feingold: I am not the person to be answering that question. That is a question that should be answered by a doctor, and by the woman who receives advice from the doctor. And neither I, nor is the Senator from Pennsylvania, truly competent to answer those questions. That is why we should not be making those decisions here on the floor of the Senate.

This exchange was so revealing/disgusting that Feingold had the Congressional Record altered to omit it.

In 2004, Kohl really came through for the pro-abortion crowd.
NARAL gave him a PERFECT score.

Both Kohl and Feingold had a 100 "Pro-Choice Score" from NARAL in 2004. In other words, in terms of being abortion-friendly, Kohl and Feingold are identical.

Naturally,
NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin backs Kohl because he aligns himself with its extremist agenda.

When it comes to abortion, Kohl is not more moderate than Feingold, at least in NARAL's view.

Kohl is just as extreme as Feingold.

Yes, NARAL likes Herb Kohl.

End the reign of Wisconsin Liberalism in the U.S. Senate. Protect the unborn.

Do not vote to re-elect Herb Kohl.

I tend to trust the American Conservative Union ratings.....They aren't perfect, but they are a great broadbased system, and tend to hold very true to reality.

Kohl = 15% Conservative lifetime rating.......13% for 2005

Feingold = 12% lifetime.......13% 2005.
----------------
FYI: Fat Teddy, Osama Mama Murray, and Babs Boxer have the worst lifetime ratings at 3%.

And there were plenty of Democrats with 0% for 2005.

Quite the sickening group.

Ah, but you don't want him 'jaw-jackin', do you? I HATE THAT COMMERCIAL... never heard that word in my part of WI, and it makes us sound... stupid.

IMHO.

Thanks for the source, Pero.

It proves my point that Feingold and Kohl are not all that different. They are both libs, leaving Wisconsin conservatives without anyone to represent them in the Senate.

Whit, I'm not really a lonely voice. There are plenty of conservatives in Wisconsin.

Kerry won the state in 2004 by only 11,000 votes. In 2000, Gore won by under 6,000 votes. We also elected Republican Tommy Thompson as governor for four terms. Wisconsin is definitely a battleground state.

I don't know why so little attention is paid to unseating our lib senators. I don't get it.

Welcome, WICatholic--

I agree. That "jaw-jackin'" line drives me nuts. I've never heard that term used in Wisconsin, absolutely never.

It sounds like something James Carville would say.

BTW, adorable pic!

Thank you both for the welcome and for the compliments on my blog photo (my youngest grandson)

I have liked neither Kohl nor Feingold since they ran their first times. I also lived 'under Obey' for awhile, and was not happy with HIS record, either.

Pero, I love your picture, also!

You're very welcome, WICatholic.

Kohl, Feingold, and NARAL should take a good, long look at the picture of your sweet little grandson.

Maybe it would make it harder for them to work against the protection of life and the recognition of its sanctity.

Yes, especially if they also realized how close we came to losing him. Best yet is the look at life that Ted Harvey gave his fellow legislators when he introduced Gianna Jessen to sing the National Anthem, introducing her as someone with Cerebral Palsy who had come a lone way in spite of it. After she sang, he told them the rest of her story... she survived a saline abortion at seven and a half months' gestation! Love that spunky woman.

The legislators were furious! They had a face to put with their planned celebration for Planned Parenthood... for the first time. I wish I could have been there to see their faces!

God bless!

What a great, inspiring story!

And what a blessing your grandson is!

Life isn't a choice. It's a gift from God.
