JB Van Hollen and Paul Bucher came to their senses and realized that their Thursday morning smackdown on 620 WTMJ with Charlie Sykes was an unmitigated disaster for both of them.
They didn't sound like respectable candidates. They didn't sound like respectable adults. They sounded like a couple of junior high boys.
Thankfully, they've regained their composure.

Highlight:
I know I did not appreciate being repeatedly spoken over, interrupted, and called "stupid," as I’m sure you did not appreciate my inappropriate use of the word "suck."
What's an appropriate use of the word "suck"?
Does Van Hollen mean that he and Bucher should only say that Peg Lautenschlager and Kathleen Falk suck?

Highlight:
Let's give the public what they want and deserve: A vigorous, respectful, and open discussion of the ideas and the issues, in forums that allow the public to easily attend.
I think most would agree that "suck," while vigorous, is not respectful. Thus, I suspect that from this point forward the candidates will do their best to refrain from using "suck" in their upcoming debates.
I think that's wise.
