BEIRUT, Aug. 13 -- Hezbollah's leader, Hasan Nasrallah, said in a televised announcement that his militia would abide by the cease-fire but only after the timing of Israel's withdrawal was worked out and Israeli troops stopped attacking. Once Israeli military operations cease, Hezbollah fighters will "adhere to it without hesitation," he said.
Yeah, right.
File this one under, "I'll believe it when I see it."
This ceasefire should not in any way be confused with peace.
When/if it happens, it will only be a temporary pause in the hostilities.
The plan to wipe Israel off the map remains. Make no mistake, that goal has not been abandoned.
