Jim Doyle and the Center for American Progress

Jim "Pro-Clone" Doyle took his message to Washington, D.C. today.

He was the keynote speaker at a national stem cell research symposium, hosted by the Center for American Progress.

Have you heard of the Center for American Progress?

The press release put out by the Democratic Party of Wisconsin calls it "a non-partisan research and education institute."

Go to the "institute's"
website.

Look at the homepage.

If that's the site of a non-partisan operation, then Jim Doyle is the King of Charisma.

Look at the lead graphic.

Non-partisan -- That's a flat out lie!

The site has a link to talking points. What sort of non-partisan group issues talking points?

The DPW really needs to stop lying. Spin is one thing, lies are another.

Doyle took his speaking opportunity before this "non-partisan" group to trash his challenger for governor, Mark Green.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Gov. Jim Doyle railed on gubernatorial challenger U.S. Rep. Mark Green during a speech Friday to a national group on embryonic stem cell research in Washington.

Without naming Green, the Democratic governor said in a speech the Republican Party "has nominated a candidate for governor who is a relentless opponent of stem cell research."

LIAR.
Green campaign spokesman Rob Vernon said the congressman supports research using adult stem cells and stem cells derived from placenta and umbilical cord blood, but Green does not believe taxpayer dollars should be used to destroy human embryos.

Doyle made the comments to the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank in Washington.

"Relentless opponent of stem cell research."

"Liberal think tank."

Someone alert Doyle and the Wisconsin Dems. The AP is fact-checking them. Even an outlet as liberal as AP isn't willing to perpetuate their lies.

How embarrassing!

It issued a report Friday that concludes federal funding is essential to research in embryonic stem cell research.

Of course it did.

Would a lib group like the Center for American Progress issue a report refuting the need for INCREASED federal funding for research that creates and destroys human life?

Not a chance.

The reality is Doyle and the DPW are liars. I'm not getting ugly and calling names.

I'm citing a FACT that the AP points out.

Doyle is a liar -- FACT.
