Donovan Riley: Double Voter Gets 26%

I wondered how many votes Donovan Riley would get.

Would his supporters refuse to vote for Riley's opponent, incumbent Jeff Plale, in the Democratic primary race for State Senate District 7?

Plale isn't liberal enough for them. He's a pro-life Dem candidate! GASP!

The problem for Riley's supporters is that Riley was forced to drop out of the race. However, it was too late to remove his name from the ballot.

Why did he drop out?

That little matter of voter fraud.

Riley was
charged with felony election fraud for voting more than once in a single election.

From
The Chicago Sun-Times:

If there's one thing Donovan Riley apparently learned during his time in Chicago, it was "Vote early and often."

...On Nov. 7, 2000, the day of the big election between Vice President Al Gore and Texas Gov. George W. Bush, Riley appeared at the polling place in Oconomowac, Wis., where he had registered to vote just the day before, voting records show. His ex-wife owned a home there.

"Then he drove down to Chicago where he was already registered and he voted again," said Michael Crooks, a Wisconsin attorney who filed a complaint against Riley with Wisconsin election officials. "This is about as blatant as it gets."

Waukesha County District Attorney Paul Bucher said it's usually difficult to prove such allegations. "But in this case, these documents seem to be pretty good," he said.

Chicago Board of Elections officials are said to be compiling documents to forward to the Cook County state's attorney for possible prosecution.

"My best recollection is that I was splitting my time between Wisconsin and Illinois and it's possible I made a mistake," Riley said in a statement released last week.

Yes, disgraced Dem State Senate candidate Riley is accused of voting in Oconomowoc and also in Chicago in the 2000 election.

Also disgraceful is that more than one in four voting in the Dem primary for District 7 filled out their ballots for alleged double voter Donovan Riley.

From
Associated Press reports:

State Senate - District 7 - Dem Primary

Wisconsin - 58 of 58 Precincts Reporting - 100.00%

Plale, Jeff (i) Dem - 8,986 votes - 73.69%
Riley, Donovan Dem - 3,208 votes - 26.31%

UNBELIEVABLE!

Sometimes, these far Left Dems are loony beyond words.

To be fair, it's possible that some voters in the Dem primary were not Dems. It's possible that these people chose to vote in the Dem primary because of other races, such as Sheriff, and they decided to cast a vote for Riley purely to humiliate the Wisconsin Dem party.

I think that might account for a handful of Riley's votes, but over three thousand people did not choose to play that game.

Over a quarter of the voters in that district actually gave their votes to someone charged with voter fraud. It should be noted that the evidence against him is solid. It's not like Riley was the victim of a witch hunt, a vast Plale-wing conspiracy.

What does that 26% say about these far Left Dems, Riley's base?

It says that they don't view voter fraud as a serious matter.

Why don't they take it seriously?

Simple. They benefit from it.

What an embarrassment for Dems that Riley got 26% of the vote!

What have we learned from the Donovan Riley case?

1) The integrity of Wisconsin's elections needs to be guaranteed.

2) The integrity of some far Left Wisconsin Dems is a lost cause.
