The Geneva Conventions Protection Program

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed

From ABC News:

ABC News has learned that President Bush will announce that high-value detainees now being held at secret CIA prisons will be transferred to the Department of Defense and granted protections under the 1949 Geneva Conventions. It will be the first time the Administration publicly acknowledges the existence of the prisons.

A source familiar with the president's announcement says it will apply to all prisoners now being held by the CIA, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the Sept.11 attacks, and senior al Qaeda leader Ramzi Binalshibh.

The source says there are "about a dozen" prisoners now being held by the CIA.

Until now, the U.S. government has not officially acknowledged the existence of CIA prisons.

Thank God Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is being granted the protection that he deserves.

I worried about him. Rumors of those secret CIA prisons brought me many sleepless nights.

I'm so glad that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is now safe.

You're familiar with Sheikh Mohammed, right?

Here's a little something to refresh your memory:
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has been one of the FBI's most wanted suspects since the 11 September 2001 attacks on the United States.

He is believed to have masterminded the suicide-hijackings in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania, and is regarded as one of the most senior operatives in Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda network.

Sheikh Mohammed has not yet been charged in connection with the events of 11 September, in which more than 3,000 people died.

However he has been indicted, since 1996, with plotting to blow up 11 or 12 American airliners flying from south-east Asia to the United States in January, 1995.

The self-proclaimed head of al-Qaeda's military committee has also been linked to
--the kidnap and murder of US journalist Daniel Pearl in Pakistan in 2002

--the 2002 suicide bomb attack on a Tunisian synagogue in which 21 people died

--a plot to assassinate the Pope during the Pontiff's 1995 visit to the Philippines

Isn't it great news that Sheikh Mohammed won't be abused by the American criminals while being held in a secret CIA prison?

Perhaps we should not rush to judgment before reading what Bush said. The White House

Now the terrorist know if they are caught they will receive 3 hots and a cot and the same rights afforded to American criminals.
And an attorney paid for by the tax payers.

Who do we have to thank for that?
The Supreme Court?
The MSM publishing secrets?
The anti-American liberal Democrats who hate Bush because he's fighting the war on terror?
All of the above?

You nailed it RJay.

I blame the appeasers and subversives, not Bush.

It's funny that most Americans don't realize that the rest of the world fears them as much if not more then Iraq and Iran.

You can send anyone to a torture camp for three years and you can get them to admit to anything.

It's sad how many people died on 9/11 but how many people have died because of Saddam?
Who trained him?
Who put him and other blood thirsty dictators who have killed millions in power in the first place?
Who still sell landmines that maim children today?

Shhhh....Don't tell anyone.

I'm speaking on condition of anonymity.

Dick Cheney personally trained Saddam Hussein.

Donald Rumsfeld personally held seminars on the most effective torture techniques.

(Note: I'm being facetious.)

On a serious note--

The "blame America first" crowd makes me sick.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans throughout our history have given their lives to liberate millions and millions of people all over the world.

It absolutely sickens me when "hate America" types spit on their graves.
