The Path to 9/11: The REAL Enemy

I'm watching the ABC mini-series that has sent the Democrats and Bill Clinton into a foaming at the mouth frenzy.

All of the uproar, the threats, the letters, the demands by Clinton's lawyers to not show The Path to 9/11 -- For what?

Because the Dems don't want to admit that when Clinton was in the White House mistakes, MAJOR MISTAKES, were made?

Mistakes were made by the Clinton administration that proved to be deadly. That's a fact.

And, until September 11, 2001, the Bush administration could have done more to get Osama bin Laden and address the terrorist threat. Dangerous policies that Clinton had put in place were not immediatedly altered when Bush took office. That's a fact.

There is plenty of blame to go around.

From what I've seen so far, the Dems look bad. I'm sure as the program progresses the Republicans will look bad as well.

It's not a partisan matter.

WE were not on a war footing prior to 9/11.

WE.

AMERICA.

ALL OF US.

Al Qaeda didn't declare war on Clinton or Bush. War was declared on AMERICA in the 1990s.

I think one's politics will likely influence how one views The Path to 9/11. Obviously, it's already been politicized beyond belief, days before its airing.

I hope that viewers take note of the disclaimers that ran at the beginning, then again 90 minutes into the commercial-free broadcast, then one more time at the end, about 9:40 pm CT.

It's not a documentary.

What I'm getting out of it is not that Clinton or Madeleine Albright or Sandy Berger blew it, though history shows that they did.

The bad guys are not U.S. officials, elected or appointed. The bad guys are the Islamofascists.

The movie accentuates their fanaticism, their extremism.

They are the bad guys.

It's uncomfortable to watch because the Islamofascists hit us, repeatedly. WE didn't get them. As a result, they pulled off the largest, most deadly terror attack in history, killing nearly 3000 of our family, friends, and neighbors.

Naturally, the telling of the path to the 9/11 attacks is painful.

But shouldn't our response be a strengthened resolve to fight terrorism, the Islamofascists, rather than fight with each other?


I'm so sick of all the infighting.

I can't stand it anymore. I really can't.

United States? Sadly, no.
