Post-Foley IM Pruriency

It's been days since Brian Ross and ABC posted any new IM chats between Mark Foley and congressional pages.

I suppose there are many out there feeling some withdrawal.

Are you uncomfortable because you haven't had your fix of fresh lewd and lascivious content from ABC News?

You may be suffering from PIMP -- Post-Foley IM Pruriency Disorder.

It's not that the Mark Foley scandal has gone away, far from it. It is still the most important issue in America today, judging by the Sunday talk shows.

The War on Terror, North Korea's nuclear test plans, Iraq, the economy, and school gun violence all have to take a back seat while the mainstream media dwell on the defining challenge of our time -- assuring the safety of congressional pages from predatory members of Congress.

Unfortunately for those following the scandal, the most pressing matter we face as a nation, it has moved into a new phase. Now, most of the talk is about Dennis Hastert and the Republican leadership. There's a lot of "What did they know and when did they know it?" stuff. BORING.

No doubt for some, the spark has gone out of the scandal. The thrill is gone and it hurts.

Brian Ross and ABC are failing to address the needs of their audience. Do they really expect them to go cold turkey after they fed them a steady diet of steamy messages for a week? No more "Congressional Pages Gone Wild"?

We know Ross claims to be in possession of more lurid material and he's in the hunt for additional damning evidence.

"Got Tips on the Foley Case? Contact Us"

It just doesn't seem right for Ross to withhold what he has, especially when so many are probably hungry for more, more, more.

It's just not right.
