The Wishes of Xxxxxxxxx

Why did Republicans stay quiet on the Mark Foley (Maf54) instant messages?

From
The Washington Post:

The boy's parents approached the office of Rep. Rodney Alexander (R-La.) in late 2005, asking that Foley stop contacting their son and that the matter be kept quiet, according to House accounts.

Reynolds, who chairs his party's House campaign committee, and Majority Leader John A. Boehner (Ohio) were among prominent Republicans who also knew of the parents' concerns earlier this year. But the matter was left to Rep. John M. Shimkus (R-Ill.), who chairs the House Page Board, and then-House clerk Jeff Trandahl, also a board member.

Shimkus has said that Foley assured them that the e-mails were innocent, and that they closed the discussion by telling him to respect pages and to cease contacting the Louisiana boy. Trandahl, now executive director of the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, did not return phone calls yesterday.

Hastert said that he and other House leaders knew nothing of the instant messages between Foley and former pages in 2003 and 2004, which, ABC has reported, were much more graphic and discussed topics including masturbation.

The boy's parents requested that the matter be kept quiet.

Yes, the parents of the victim of sexual predator Foley did not want any of this to come out.

They probably felt relieved, that they could relax, that they could exhale after three years. They probably thought that they could put the matter behind them.

How wrong they were!

The Dems reached into their bag of dirty tricks and dug out the Foley IMs.

Did they think of the impact it would have on the page or his family?

Did they care? Obviously not.

Where's the compassion?

The Democrats are ruthless. They will do anything to get power back.

How do you think the page and his family feels now?

Are they terrified that the bloodthirsty media will soon be badgering them with calls and staking out satellite trucks in front of their home?

They must realize that someone knows the identity of Xxxxxxxxx and has no qualms about leaking his information.

Soon, a photo will circulate on the Internet. You know that's coming.

The Dems don't care. Privacy be damned when power is up for grabs.
