The Inconvenient Truth about Doyle

This is getting ridiculous.

Just when I think it can't get any worse, it does.

Gov. Jim Doyle plans to bilk an additional whopping $1.6 billion from Wisconsin taxpayers over the next ten years.

From The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Gov. Jim Doyle's proposal to provide more funding for a state land purchase program will heap an estimated $1.6 billion in new costs on taxpayers in the next 10 years of the initiative.

The spending represents a dramatic increase in the size of a popular program that has helped protect more than 477,000 acres.

Money for the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund has helped bankroll vast swaths of northern forests, added to the Kettle Moraine State Forest and funded parcels in urban areas, such as the Hank Aaron State Trail.

...Doyle is seeking to increase the size of the Knowles-Nelson program by 75% - from $60 million a year to $105 million a year, beginning in 2011.

Under Doyle's plan, the estimated cost of interest and principal payments for state general obligation bonds would jump to $1.6 billion for the next 10 years of the program. In addition, the state must make payments to municipalities in lieu of property taxes.

That's Doyle in action, protector of middle class families, keeping a lid on taxes.

What a joke!

Republican Mark Green said over and over again during the campaign that he planned to control state spending to alleviate the tax burden. Doyle as governor would guarantee more spending and higher taxes.

Green was right about what a Doyle second term would mean.

Let's douse the flames of Wisconsin's tax hell.

Do we really want to burn for eternity?

Currently 36 states have adopted
term limits of various types for their governors.

We need to join the states that have protections against being stuck with a governor for life.

Even just eight years of Doyle is more than I can stand.

As it is, Doyle's on course to suck the state's taxpayers dry sooner than the world's rivers will dry up under Al Gore's global warming nightmare.

This calls for dramatic and immediate action.

Let's cap Doyle's tenure.

I know Wisconsin won't adopt term limits.

There's not a snowball's chance in Gore's world of that happening.

We're doomed under Doyle.

Ladies & Gentlemen:

If you give a damn about the income/savings you are going to be able to keep and your cost of living, please take interest in this:

a. Wisconsin has become a tax and fee hell hole AND it soon will become much worse thanks to the current (Democratic) administration and the "Political Whore" we have as our Governor...Jim Doyle.

b. Jim Doyle is currently under Federal Investigation for criminal activities and one of his administration has already been sentenced to Federal Prison...yet the citizens of this state reelected him....unreal.

c. Doyle has received millions of dollars contributed by: State Teachers Union, Road Builders, Trial Lawyers, Indian Gaming interests, Ethanol Producers, Corn Growers lobby to name a few. In exchange, Jim Doyle has become a "Political Whore" and state policy is literally for sale through campaign contributions. Jim Doyle is a disgrace to our state, yet he was re elected due to stupidity on the part of the electorate and lies put out against his opponent.

d. An ever growing number of retired citizens are moving out of this tax and fee hell hole and establishing residence in more tax friendly states which will make the tax situation even worse for those of us that retain legal residency here in this state. Even the teachers union, (who gives Doyle huge amounts of money (millions) ), recommends that their retirees establish their residence out of Wisconsin in order to better preserve their lavish pensions (that we also pay for).

f. IF YOU CARE AT ALL WHAT CAN YOU DO ?
1. Know who your State Assembly person and State Senator is and communicate with them. All of them have e-mail addresses and web sites. Ask them specifically how they stand on these tax matters and Doyle's budget and how they will vote on issues and demand they respond to you. It is only through citizen involvement that Doyle's ridiculous proposals can be counteracted through legislative veto or lack of passage and this will only happen through citizen pressure....your personal effort. Don't depend on others...it is you that must get off your butt and do something if you give a damn.

2. I believe that on the left side of Bellings web site ( www.belling.com )
there is a link to how you can contact your State Representative. YOU MUST DO THIS. It is not difficult. Demand a reply from your Legislators and indicate to them that you will let others know about how they vote. The inter net provides the (over taxed) citizens with a wonderful means to be informed and to get the word out about representatives who do not represent the best interests of you. You MUST inform them, however, of your position on these important matters.

g. You may not have heard but Doyle has recently proposed a huge number of tax and fee increases and a number of new taxes and fees among which are:
1. Tax the income of oil producers that will result in about another (additional) 8 cents/gallon for fuel. Doyle says that this increased cost to the oil producers "cannot be passed on to consumers". Does Doyle think we're all idiots?
2. New "sick taxes" on hospitals and nursing homes that will directly affect the cost to the citizens of this state when they have to visit a hospital or pay for nursing home care.
3. Additional $10 fee on vehicle registration in this state.
4. Additional and higher fees for many sporting activities. Doyle even has proposed a "dock permit fee" for any and every structure extending into the waters of Wisconsin... See what I mean. Can you imagine the DNR inspecting every structure extending out into the water and then additionally fining the property owner if that structure is not compliant?
5. A $13 rental vehicle tax (new) to help fund an unneeded (and additional heavy rail commuter train from Milwaukee south to Chicago. Another ridiculous and unnecessary project since we already have a train going over the same area that is underutilized.

In order to "dodge the bullet", Doyle, instead of being in the open with a straight tax that consumers can see, will rather tax the income of the company so that they then can pass the increase in their operating costs on to you the citizen of this lousy state. Then you will become angry at the business and Doyle escapes the wrath of the citizen since you will not see this as a direct tax, but rather pay it as an indirect tax through increase cost for goods and services. Another example of Doyle's sleaziness.

SO ....it is time for you to finally get "pissed off" enough to get off your butt and do something about this. If you don't, you deserve what you get, i.e. more fees and taxes and less of your income to keep and spend as you wish.

Dr. Allen,

Are you on Mark Belling's payroll? :)

You do make good points. I agree that it's time for Wisconsinites to take action and contact their representatives.
