Bill Broydrick

According to Milwaukee's NBC affiliate Today's TMJ4, the D.C. Madam's phone list includes a Wisconsin man -- Bill Broydrick.

Who is Bill Broydrick?

Read about him
here.

His WisPolitics E-Profile is quite interesting.

He's married with four kids.

His favorite place in Wisconsin: Lake Park in Milwaukee.

His favorite place outside Wisconsin: Washington, D.C.

I guess I can understand why he might like D.C.

It's important to note that just because Broydrick's number showed up on D.C. Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey's phone list doesn't mean that he was a client.

When TMJ4 reporter Charles Benson called Broydrick about the matter, Broydrick wasn't forthcoming.

Palfrey's phone records are now on the internet for anyone to see.

So we went to the D-C phone list dot com and typed in Broydrick's cellphone number.

We found it five times - twice in november of 2003 and three different months in 2004. All the calls were less than a minute. Broydrick's connection to list first surfaced on this Wisconsin political blog last week.

So why is Broydrick's cell phone number on the list? Was he the one using the phone at the time of the calls and what was discussed? I called the number to find out.

"I'm asking questions. I'm not implying, I'm not insinuating as you know any good reporter would ask." Broydrick's response was "I'm not commenting." "You know Charles if you've got nothing better to do I've got nothing better to say." And he hung up.

A few minutes later he called back but on the record he would only say "I'm not commenting."

If given the opportunity to clear up a misunderstanding or an "it's not what it looks like" situation, a person usually takes it.

Broydrick was angry and adamant about NOT COMMENTING. He certainly didn't give an impression of innocence, but that doesn't mean that he's guilty.

At this point, all that can be said is that his phone number was on a list, but it is quite a notorious list.
