Racist, Threatening Signs at UWM

Will Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton be swooping in to Milwaukee soon?

No.

Although there's an obvious racial element to this story, the intended victims are white.

WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE -- Threatening signs left at UW-Milwaukee bus stops have students and administrators concerned.

The signs threaten white, female UWM students saying "if you disrespect a black man on the number 30 bus you will get hurt and killed like Joe Munz." Munz is the UW-Milwaukee student robbed and killed last fall while delivering subs for Jimmy Johns.

UWM Administrator Tom Luljak says the signs were discovered sunday at three bus stops and removed immediately by campus police. He says several campus officers have been assigned to investigate the threats. Luljak tells Fox 6, "We are determined to find out what's behind it. Because in this day and age, certainly post Virginia Tech, we don't take anything lightly that would suggest that there could be a threat against our students."

Campus police are said to have several leads.

I wonder if Michael McGee the elder was spotted in the area.

The flyers sound like his work.

After all, he promised to get "naughty." McGee Jr. is still behind bars. Plus, he was forced to appear in court at his bail hearing yesterday wearing a jailhouse orange jumpsuit rather than civilian clothes.

I do feel sorry for the family and friends of Joe Munz. They've suffered such a horrible loss. For some jerk or jerks to use his name in a threat like this has to add to their pain.

This is certain: If the signs threatened to kill black women rather than white women, the national media would be all over this story.

Local race-baiter Eugene Kane would be drooling. He might be interviewing some imaginary miscreants again and publishing their words.

If black women were targeted, the signs might also be used by thugs as an excuse to pull innocent Milwaukee motorists from their cars and beat them Marcus Chisolm-style.

But since it's white women being threatened, this isn't a really big deal.
