Anonymous said...: This page just happened to turn up in a google search, and I found it interesting that you used words like "vitriol," "cluelessness," and "spewing" without even one short sentence to refute any argument made against Bush's pardon of a criminal who broke the laws of the land and was sentenced by a Republican-appointed judge. I am surprised at you Republicans-- are you for government control and intrusion in your lives or against them?

By pardoning Scooter Libby, one of the two men (Karl Rove being the other) most privy to the inner workings and shady dealings of the Executive Branch, to make sure he didn't serve any time in jail and thus maybe inclined to ask for immunity in exchange for some important information, President Bush has exposed what he truly wants to be for all to see-- even you Republicans with your blinders of the past 6 years. The only real question now is, does he want to be a dictator, as he has "joked" in the past, or does he want to be a monarch? His behavior shares traits with both types of leaders-- the one type of leader who he does NOT share traits with is the President of the United States.

Ask yourself what the Founding Fathers would think of this. Remember, they fought a revolutionary war over precisely this kind of free-wheeling, "I'll do what I want and there's nothing you can do to stop me" kind of rule.
