Ahmadinejad to Meet with 9/11 Families, War Critics

Anti-Semite, Holocaust-denier Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is on his way to the United States.

From the Islamic Republic News Agency:

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, heading a high-ranking delegation, left Tehran for New York on Sunday to take part in the 62nd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his stay in New York, the president is scheduled to address the assembly and hold talks with the UN secretary general as well as presidents and senior officials of several countries on the sidelines of the UN meeting.

Delivering a speech at Colombia University, and holding discussions with a number of American Muslim, Jewish and Christian leaders will be among his other programs.

The president will also have interviews with a number of leading US media.

Meanwhile, he is to hold talks with Iranian expatriates residing in New York.

The head of the Supreme Leader's Office, Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani, First Vice-President Parviz Davoudi and a number of ministers saw the president off at Mehrabad International Airport.

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki left Tehran for New York on Friday to take part in the UN General Assembly session.

Minister of Justice and Government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham, several Foreign Ministry officials and a number of MPs are accompanying the president in this trip.

Note that the IRNA doesn't know how to spell "Columbia." What a top notch news agency!

The IRNA isn't really a news outlet. It's Ahmadinejad's propaganda outlet. It's like what NBC - CBS - ABC - CNN - MSNBC - New York Times - Washington Post are to the Democrats in the U.S.

this report:

Report: Iran's Ahmadinejad to meet 9/11 survivors

After having been rejected by the United States administration to visit the site of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is now planning to meet the families of the 9/11 victims, Fars news agency reported.

Fars, which is close to the presidential office, further reported that Ahmadinejad would also meet US war critics and give a speech at the University of Columbia and answer to questions by students and lecturers.

The Fars report has not yet been officially confirmed.

I hope it's officially confirmed as inaccurate.

Ahmadinejad is abusing our “freedom of speech” only to destroy it!

Dear Mr. Bollinger! I believe the fair play of “Freedom of Speech” shall be granted to the people who believe in it; the ones would grant it to other human beings.

Ahmadinejad is granted the right to play in a game he does not believe in. He is in this game to abuse it. He plays it only as long as it is in his benefit. That’s the Islamofasicm’s strategy when facing the West. They don’t believe in any of West’s belief structures; yet they abuse the benefits anytime they can.

The Iranian regime has denied the right to speech to its own intellectuals and thinkers, only because their believes did not exactly match the believes of the system. Many are still in jails; many are beaten up in several occasions. He would have destroyed Columbia University and New York and US altogether if he could.

Please remember: this system of fair played has been designed for the players who believe in this system and these values; not the ones who ridicule it, fight it, attempt to kill it, and abuse it for their own benefits.

Iranian regime is the leader of Islamofasicm in today’s world. They are in frontline of criticizing the Western/modern liberal values. They ridicule the Human Rights convention and act against it every single day.

Mr. Bollinger! Please remember these points when introducing Mr. Ahmadinejad on Monday!

I'm so with you Texasfred. I wish that someone could be me. I don't know how Bush can allow him to enter this country. What kills me even more is that he is in my city, the very city that was victimized by the terrorism he supports. He's not allowed to go to Ground Zero, but just him being here is like letting him dance on the graves of the 9/11 victims. This government is a farce. God help us all.

texasfred, anonymous....get over it for gods sake. As a supposedly democratic nation, who pushes that their way of life is the only way, shouldnt you be setting an example of democracy rather than limiting his movement and making stupid remarks about putting bullets in his brain. i watched a cnn report today on it and the two people who were interviewed about the visit only went further to convince the world that the american populace is not too bright. now we know that isnt true, but your media makes it seem so. iran had nothing to do with 9/11. in fact the people who were involved pretty much all came from saudi...one of your protectorates in the middle east. not one piece of action has been taken against them and the despotic...not to mention totally hypocritical....royal family there. americans have short memories and they are, it seems, easily swayed by the media and govt who have changed the reasons for afghanistan, iraq, and now syria and iran....time and time again. do you guys not get it???
ahmadinejad isnt a terrorist...you may not agree with his views, but you cannot say he is a terrorist. gw is a far bigger terrorist than he will ever be,....and you voted for him twice and helped him plunge the world into the mess that it is in now. You have only yourselves to blame...and the vast majority of the world probably blames you too.
oh, the comment about the spelling of columbia?? get over it please...american english has dumbed down the spelling of the language consistently over the last 200 years. enough said.
