Dishonorable Senator Chuck Schumer

I heard this clip of the dishonorable Sen. Chuck Schumer on Mark Levin's show.

It made me ill.

It's positively disgraceful.

To score political points, Schumer rips our military. He claims that violence has gone down in Anbar because the troops were unable to protect the people there.

From Hugh Hewitt's blog:

And so the fall Senate session shifts into gear as the senior Senator from New York, Charles Schumer, takes to the floor after the August recess and gives his assessment of the surge in Iraq. Here's the nub of what Schumer said in his 10 minute address to his anti-war fringe and, for that matter, the remnants of al Qaeda that have been getting wiped out in Iraq over the last four months.
And let me be clear, the violence in Anbar has gone down despite the surge, not because of the surge. The inability of American soldiers to protect these tribes from al Qaeda said to these tribes we have to fight al Qaeda ourselves. It wasn't that the surge brought peace here. It was that the warlords took peace here, created a temporary peace here. And that is because there was no one else there protecting.

As Duane points out:
Not only is Schumer calling the American military incompetent, he's calling them liars, as well.

Is Schumer such a dolt that he doesn't realize that he's bashing the troops?

Doesn't Schumer realize that Americans died securing Anbar?

"And let me be clear, the violence in Anbar has gone down despite the surge, not because of the surge."

What an absolute jerk!

I dont know what outrages me more the fact that Charles Schumer is spreading this disinformation or the media not reporting on it. I only hope the average American does Not solely rely on ABC,NBC, CBS for information on whats going on in Iraq. Maybe someday the people of New York will wake up and boot him out of office. God Bless America

On Schumer's official website, the transcript has sanitized what he said from "The inability of American soldiers to protect these tribes from al-Qaeda" to "The lack of protection for these tribes from al Qaeda". Hmmm...I wonder if he was getting some negative feedback.

Please let the dishonorable senator know that if it wasn't for our troops he would not be able to make his ludicrous statements.
If he does not think that our troops our doing a great job. Let him remember that it was a soldier that gave him the ability to be a senator and that he should thank everyone of them for ricking their lives so that he can have his freedom!

The problem is Schumer and those of his ilk don't get enough negative feedback.

There are people on board with his comments.

That's what's really disheartening.
