59 School Children Dead

The death toll of the attack in Baghlan on Tuesday was released today.

A suicide bomber slaughtered 59 children in Afghanistan.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- Afghanistan's deadliest suicide attack since the Taliban regime's ouster killed 59 schoolchildren, while 96 other students were wounded in the blast, the Education Ministry spokesman said Friday.

The attack in the northern province of Baghlan on Tuesday killed at least 75 people. The dead children were ages eight to 18, said Zahoor Afghan, an Education Ministry spokesman.

Five teachers were also among those killed in the attack, the worst in the country since the 2001 U.S.-led invasion toppled the Taliban militant movement from power. Six lawmakers also died.

...The schoolchildren were lined up to greet a group of lawmakers visiting a sugar factory when a suicide bomber detonated explosives, officials said. Witnesses have said some victims may have been killed or wounded by guards who opened fire after the blast.

Only animals would deliberately target innocent children like this.

Do the deaths of these children bother the Dems who spent hours ripping Michael Mukasey and the Bush administration?

They don't seem to get their attention. I think it's necessary to simulate drowning while interrogating enemies of the U.S. to get the Democrats bent out of shape.

Why is the Left's outrage reserved for civilian deaths that occur unintentionally as our military battles to secure Iraq and Afghanistan, and these civilian deaths are virtually ignored?

Why don't the so-called human rights organizations condemn the suicide bombers?

Why is condemnation just reserved for the Bush administration and the U.S. military?

Fifty-nine children were killed and 96 were wounded. They were targeted. The mission was to kill these children.

And I know there are sickos out there blaming Bush for their deaths.
