Thank a Cop

There was more shooting on Milwaukee's south side last night.

Thankfully, this time no officers were hit.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:


Two men who robbed a couple walking on the street and later fired a shot at the police officers who were trying to arrest them are in custody, police said Sunday. They gave this account:

Shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday a man and woman were walking in the area of S. 9th St. and W. National Ave. when they were robbed by the two men. Undercover officers in the area responded and arrested one of the men a few blocks away. The second man fired a shot at the officers and fled but was arrested a short time later.


Great work by the police.

These officers truly are heroes. They put their lives on the line as they attempt to maintain order and protect the public from the thugs terrorizing the city.

I don't think that the officers get the recognition and appreciation they deserve.

High profile cases like the Frank Jude Jr. beating make the headlines. Cases like this don't.
