I've done pretty well coping with the weather so far, but I've reached the breaking point.
I can't take it anymore. Although it's only mid-December, we've packed a lot of winter mess into the season.
The snow won't stop. It's light and fluffy and fresh and sparkly. So what?
No, it's not pretty. It's not.
The Christmas lights on our evergreens don't show anymore, completely buried. All those little white bulbs are under there somewhere.
That's the least of our problems.
We're at war with damn ice dams.
If dropping F-bombs destroyed them, our roof would be clear and our gutters would be free of ice.
If I had the money, I'd hire Al Gore to rake the roof and remove the ice dams with all his global warming hot air.
And when it comes to travel, it sucks! The side streets absolutely suck!
The weather forecasts for this weekend were WRONG. So what else is new?
Last week, we were told things would quiet down and we'd be spared any major storms. That, of course, was WRONG.
I'm so tired of this. All I want for Christmas is a thaw.

ICE DAMNS

I feel your pain. While I can deal with winter having been born here, but it doesn't mean I like it. It's one thing to have to shovel, it's another to have to do it several times a day. And, it's completely another to have to ice pick your car for an hour to be able to drive it anywhere. Add to that the idiots who don't see the pattern of when the snow plow come down ONE side of the street, it will soon come down the other. MOVE YOUR F*#!ING CARS!
I was at the video store last night. I stood and watched a lady in an SUV (of course) take about 15 minutes to back out of her parking spot to leave . . . because she was too lazy to scrape her windows that were FULL of snow and ice. As it was my car she was blocking, I finally said "scrape your windows (followed by a reference to the superior part of her anatomy resembling fecal matter)". She responded with what could have been interpreted as a sexual advance, but considering her tone, I doubted that.
I could use a little global warming about now.
HAHAHAHA
I think you interpreted her meaning correctly given the context, probably not a sexual advance.
Thanks for the laugh.
