Tor Hardy: Your Cell Phone or Your Life

Tor Hardy is fifteen years old.

He alledgedly took part in beating a 53-year-old man to death during a cell phone robbery. Friends of the murder victim believe the phone contained a very important text message.

From Cincinnati's WKRC-TV:

Friends say their roommate was killed in his apartment over a cell phone. Police are looking for two suspects in connection to the brutal murder.

One has been identified as Tor Hardy, 15.

He's wanted for allegedly killing Gary Secone, 53, Tuesday afternoon in Mt. Washington.

This wasn't your typical robbery. Gary's roommates tell Local 12 that the teens were just after a cell phone.

The women had lent the phone to a friend, who text-messaged one of the suspects. They now say something in those messages meant enough for the teens to commit murder.

No good deed goes unpunished.
Police say those teens forced their way into Gary Secone's apartment Tuesday, and began making demands. When Gary wouldn't give up the phone, the situation escalated.

Secone's roommates tell Local 12 that Gary went alone into the hallway with the teens, and they beat him repeatedly, kicking him in the head.

"I was scared to death sitting back on the couch, scared to death for our lives," said Crystal Holt, Secone's roommate. "Gary knew we were scared, and that's why he went into the hallway alone with both of them and took that, so they wouldn't hurt us. They beat him, and stomped on him, and stomped on him repeatedly."

Holt said she has no idea what was so important about that phone or those text messages. And it's entirely possible that Secone knew nothing about those text messages. He had just gotten out of jail Tuesday morning after two weeks for a probation violation on a prior drug charge.

...Tor Hardy is known by his street name, Keeno. Hardy is wanted for aggravated murder.

This is the definition of dysfunction.

A 15-year-old kid and another suspect kill 53-year-old Gary Secone over a cell phone.

Secone had been released from jail on Tuesday morning and later that afternoon, he was dead.

Obviously, the information on that cell phone was a matter of life and death to Hardy. It was so vital that he was willing to kill to get it.

It's sick.

There are two Americas.

Another case of extreme dysfunction:
A woman is in jail after pouring hot grease on her sleeping husband.

Police say Tampa resident Tanesha Young believed that her husband Antone Neely was having an affair.

After an argument Monday night, Neely fell asleep in a chair.

That's when Young allegedly poured the hot grease on his body, severely burning him.

...He's currently listed in good condition, but still faces the possibility of skin grafts.

Young was later found hiding at a closet at her mother's house and arrested.

Infidelity. Physical abuse.

I wonder how long Tanesha Young planned on staying in her mom's closet.

Hiding in a closet is not the answer to marital problems.
