Berkeley Anti-War Activists and Patriots

The anti-war activists determined to shut down the Marine Corps recruiting center at Berkeley are a disgrace.

Protester: We have a symbol right in the heart of the most peace-loving city in this nation. And it is a symbol of war. It is a symbol of death. It is a symbol of torture. It is a symbol of rape. It is a symbol of destruction. Are we going to allow that symbol to remain in the heart of this peace-loving city?

Like-minded protesters: NO!!!!!!!

Robert Young, father of a son serving in Iraq, says, "You spend 30 years in service to your country, and you have someone over here calling you a child molester, or child murderer, and yeah I guess I get a little angry when I hear that."



The protesters attacking the Marine Corps this way really nauseate me.

They have the right to oppose the war. They have the right to oppose the U.S. military. But they do not have the right to claim that they support the troops as they assault them.

Maya Nadjieli, 19, youth and student ANSWER: The fact that recruiting center is here and they're defending it to this extent just goes... you know, we are in support of our troops because our troops are us. You know, the troops that are out there fighting are young people of color who have no other option because this government isn't giving them proper education, isn't giving them job opportunities, isn't giving them housing. And the only opportunity that they see is to fight this war that will in no way benefit them.

What a crock!

Nadjieli doesn't know what she's talking about.

She claims that she supports the troops.

Really?

She supports those rapists and torturers?

She says young people are fighting because the GOVERNMENT isn't GIVING them an education, a job, and housing.

Really?

Leaving her Leftist welfare state entitlement rhetoric aside, why did Lee Wolf enlist in the Marine Corps?

Lee Wolf, 21, S.F. State student enlisting in the Marine Corps: I'm out here today really just to be a presence in opposition to what's going on here. This group of individuals is misguided as to what this recruiting station actually does. They're also highly offensive to the soldiers in the Marine Corps and the rest of the military. They call them rapists. They call them war criminals, which are all, of course, false. And it's really disheartening to see a group of radicals go after the Marine Corps like this.

Wolf is not a person of color. He clearly has an education and opportunity and housing. He has a choice and he enlisted.

He's a patriot.
