From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Milwaukee police have a person in custody for other felonies who is also being questioned as a suspect in the death of Pam Roberts, a west side bartender killed during an apparent robbery at Coop's Tiny Tap last month.

Milwaukee police public information officer Bobby Lindsey said Tuesday afternoon that Chief Edward Flynn confirmed the department has a suspect in custody.

TMJ4 has more on the suspect.

TODAY'S TMJ4 has learned the man being questioned is 36-year-old Joel Cain.

Late Tuesday, Cain was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. He served several years in prison for several burglaries in Illinois.

But nothing in Tuesday's criminal complaint links Cain with Roberts' murder.

...According to the criminal complaint, Cain lived three blocks from the murder scene. He was unemployed and about to lose his house to foreclosure.

He also went to the bar often and he knew both Pam and Tom Roberts.

Tom Roberts said, "I can’t believe that I've know this gentlemen. He never seemed like trouble. He never caused any trouble in the bar. I know he's had some difficulties in the past."

Tom believes that Pam knew her killer.

Is there a connection between Cain and Pam's murder?

Chief Edward Flynn says Cain was picked up for other crimes in the same neighborhood.

"We see here an opportunity to explore whether or [not] he is in fact connected to that homicide and we are actively investigating that possibility," Flynn said.

For the sake of the family and friends of Pam Roberts and for the sake of the community, I hope the police have their man in custody.
