Twenty-four 1st and Keefe Vice Lords Charged

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Twenty-four members of a Milwaukee street gang known as the 1st and Keefe Vice Lords have been charged in federal court, bringing to 100 the number of gang members arrested and facing federal charges this year, officials said today.

It was the second round of indictments involving this branch of the Vice Lords, following one in 2006. The defendants, charged with dealing crack cocaine, powder cocaine and marijuana, face from 10 years to life in prison if convicted depending on charges, officials said.

Earlier this year, federal and local officials announced charges against 45 members of the so-called 1-9 Nash Street Boys. Also charged this year were 31 people implicated in a ring moving high-grade marijuana from California to Wisconsin and other states.

...Two indictments charging the 24 was returned March 25 by the grand jury and unsealed today. According to documents, those charged include:

"Pokie," 35; Andrell Howard, a.k.a. "Puff," 31; Leon Hughes, a.k.a. "Laylow," 28; Rubin Luna, 29; Isaiah Smith, a.k.a. "Ike," 23; Lonnie Smith, a.k.a. "Poppa," 24; Sebastian Thomas, a.k.a. "Shabazz," 23; Angela Weaver, a.k.a. Angela Davis, 39; Preston Weaver, a.k.a. "Prep," 35; Daniel Hilson, a.k.a. "LB," a.k.a. "Lima Bean," 27; David Wilson, a.k.a. "Super Dave," 39; Shafer Wilson, 27; Tyrone Wilson, a.k.a. "Gip," 27; and Maraine Cullins, a.k.a. "Maine," 38.

These nicknames are so weird.

Take a look at their ages. These are not mixed up kids who got mixed up in a gang.

They range in age from 22 to 39.

I assume that a number of these gang members are parents. What role models!
