Fishing on Main Street in Thiensville

I was waiting for this story.

It seems that whenever there's a major flood, a story about a fish in an unusual place follows.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Flooding [in Thiensville] is bad enough that you could catch a bullhead on Main St., but no major problems have been reported and officials say they are hoping the rains will stop by the time the Milwaukee River crests here in perhaps three or four days.

Village Administrator Dianne Robertson said water this morning forced the closure of northbound Main St. between Green Bay and Freistadt roads. But no sewer backups have been reported, conditions generally are safe and it is hoped Main can be reopened later today, she said.

Robertson joked that "you can go fishing on Main St." because she saw a "baby bullhead" swimming in a puddle on Main this morning.
